Student of Our School Participated in Paper Contest in Australia

On Oct. 25, SPE paper contest was held in Perth, Australia. Rupeng Li, an undergraduate student of our school, attended the contest with the paper entitled “Design and Analysis of the Automatic Flow Control Valve for Commingled Production Well” and was placed the fourth in undergraduate group.
More than 20 universities from 8 countries, including China University of Petroleum (East China), China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Southwest Petroluem University, New South Welse University, etc., attened this event. About 50 papers was received for appraisal. The competitor is required to give 15 min. presentation and to answer questions raised by the jury.
The event was started in 1967 and covers the areas of petroleum engineering, oil and gas development, and petroleum geology. It aims to strengthen the communication among talented people from various countries, and enchance their research competence.
